8/10 Nicely rooted in tradition, this ryokan offers a design mixing classic elements with well-thought-out modern touches. The refined kaiseki meals and baths with natural views enhance the immersion. Some modern aspects of the rooms slightly diminish the authenticity, but the whole remains charming and well-crafted.
