Yuze Hotel
9,1/10 Exceptional - Based on 147 reviews
Perched in the heart of nature nestled between valleys and mountains, this ryokan in Kazuno embodies pure harmony between modernity and Japanese traditions. Every corner invites calm and introspection, notably through the hot spring baths, a true promise of millennial well-being. The thermal springs, nestled in a soothing setting, allow you to reconnect with the essentials, while warm communal spaces offer a refuge for body and mind.
Combining authenticity and modern comfort, the rooms vary between Japanese and Western styles, but all have an enchanting view of the surrounding greenery or the peaceful river. Bright and meticulously arranged, they sometimes offer the comfort of traditional futons, sometimes that of contemporary beds, always in an atmosphere conducive to inner rest. Each is a personal haven where every detail, from furniture to heating, is designed to wrap guests in comforting softness.
Not far from there, the ryokan’s restaurant celebrates the richness of the local terroir with refined and inventive Japanese cuisine, offered in a clean setting. For guests wishing to explore further, the surroundings are full of culinary gems, like bistros and cafes nestled in the hills, promising convivial moments during a stroll. Every bite tells the story of the surrounding landscapes.

Japanese Authenticity Assessment
6/10 Pretty ryokan combining modern comfort and traditional touches. Rooms with tatami and futons offer partial immersion, but the design remains quite contemporary. We admire a nice bathing experience with a view, albeit modest. The cuisine is correct and pleasant, but lacks the complete authenticity of classic kaiseki.
